Salvete, Omnes!
I was at our wonderful school today to take care of a few things: 1. I needed to update my school computer's software, 2. We had some DonorsChoose deliveries come in for the Mustang Makers' Club supplies, and lastly (3.), a colleague of mine donated a set of Latin I books to our classroom. We might not be using them right away, but an extra set of books is always welcome! I will be inviting our families to subscribe to this blog in order to get updates about Latin, Etymology, and Mythology classes. It's very easy! If you click on the "Subscribe" button on your upper righthand side, you will be able to enter you email address and recieve a message every time a post is made. I typically use our Nuntii Latini newsletter to share about upcoming due dates, projects, or other information you may need to know (Latin club or Makers' club information!). Subscribing is an easy way to make sure you don't miss any news in your student's academic life. Please let me know if you have any questions! Magistra R.

Salvete, Omnes! We are about two weeks from the start of our school year, and in addition to our 1:1 digital devices, our students are also going to need some school supplies. East High school has a master list (by teacher name) on the school website, but I am also posting my supply lists here, with hyperlinks to places you from which you can order them. School Supplies for Latin & Etymology:
It is not necessary to use the above links to get these items. I just put them these to explain the kind of thing I mean, and to show one place where these items can be found. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! -Magistra R. Dear Parents and Students,
Salvete, Omnes! Welcome to Classical Languages at East High School! You may be here because I will be your student's Latin teacher, or you may be here because I will be their Etymology or Mythology teacher. In either case, I am happy to meet you! I think it is clear this year is going to be a new learning experience for all of us. I am approaching it with a mind open to new possibilities, and I am hoping we all are taking to heart the message from SCS: "This is a work in progress!" Things are changing all the time, and that means many procedures we start out with this school year may evolve along the way. We all appreciate your support as we work together through this year. As I close out this first post of Academic 2020-2021, I want to invite you to contact me at any time. I am available through the contact form on our website! Also, you can reach me through your student's Skype for Business application, which is preinstalled on their school-issued computers. (If I am teaching, I will not be able to answer, but I will be able to listen to your message and contact you back asap.) Please let me know if you have any questions!
